City Wildlife
I have been on a blogging vacation for the past little while. I did not have to venture far, just to the forest next to my house. I fell like I abandoned my blog, but that was not my intention. In fact I have missed blogging quite a bit. But mastering another skill takes time and dedication. Although I have not mastered the photography style that I have ventured off to practice, my skills have definitely improved. Becoming familiar with the little critters that live in the woods has been a lot of fun. So far I have not captured anything unfamiliar to the Edmonton area on camera. But who knows maybe some of the creatures I have seen someone around the world may find really cool! So here are some shots and a little glimpse of what I have been up to:
“Some things take time.”

I grew up on a farm in the B.C. interior, yet have seen more wildlife in Vancouver than I ever did as a child.. Coyotes are a regular occurrence on my street, skunks live under my front steps, raccoon in the garage, and squirrels torment me.Rabbits are everywhere, and if I ever need to see a red winged blackbird, all I have to do is visit the bulrushes off Jericho beach.

Not quite in the city, but I love this photo my husband took last fall outside Whistler
That is a pretty fun picture! Capturing the personalities is the best part of photographing animals.
I find ‘other people’s’ common wildlife really interesting, so keep it up.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and following. Much appreciated.
Awesome! Thank you. I try to keep it more interesting by really capturing the creatures personalities.
Wow! I love the finch actually flying..great capture! Love how the light filters through his wings
Thank you
It’s always very neat when wildlife is caught and frozen on camera.
Beautiful shots. I love seeing other wildlife and what “the country” is in other places around the world. Thanks for the follow!
Thank you for the compliment! I guess we all need to appreciate how beautiful our own backyards can be.
