I feel so fortunate to live so close to one of the most beautiful mountain ranges. I am grateful to have the ability leave for a day drive the highway through the mountains and then be home in the evening if I wish. Though staying for a day is not nearly enough to soak in how fantastic the mountains really are. There is lots to do such as taking a dip in the hot springs, enjoying a day hike up a mountain, photographing wildlife, wading in crystal clear mountain water, spend a day at the spa, and in the winter there are many winter sports to take part in.
Not all of these landscapes are of the Rocky Mountains, one is of the Coastal Mountain range. The shot of the Coastal Mountains was taken through a bug guts covered windshield. I happy the picture worked out!
The other two photos – the one with the silhouette and the one with the rocks was taken within the Rocky Mountains at Moose Lake in British Columbia. We took a detour on the way home to shoot some footage and snap some photos. I love the fog that seems to always loom over mountains. It give such a beautiful misty effect, which is a dream for all photographers.
