Downy Woodpeckers

Lately I have been working very hard to get my career as a photographer off the ground through Zac and I’s company, Zokah. Which is why post have been sparse. That being said, I am so appreciative of all of the opportunities that we have been blessed with and all of the amazing clients we have been working with. Our job has brought us to very unique places throughout our own city and all around western Canada, not to mention we will be going half way around the world this coming June to photograph and film a wedding in the Philippines! Just amazing.

The only downside to this whole running a business thing is that it takes a lot of your time and energy. Taking “me” time is often forgotten throughout the days of editing, marketing, meetings, and all of the other things that come with running a company.

For me, I like to spend my free time exploring and in nature. This is where my inspiration for the Bird Docs web series has come in. The series helps to teach about our local wildlife (and hopefully yours) also I believe the series could help bring people closer to nature. The Bird Docs has allowed me to spend time in nature and also work on an awesome video project. I want to educate people on the beauty of nature and help preserve it as much as I can.

I am so fortunate to live in Canada where 10% of the worlds forest is and especially in a city that has such a vast of green space and wildlife. I hope you enjoy the video!
